customers modem in an excel spreadsheet. The
operator then took these
figures and assigned the correct charge rate and
applied it manually to
each invoice in Microsoft Word. Once all
the customer’s invoices had been printed and folded
into envelopes, they were then posted - time taken,
5 days per month
New Process: itaba3
configured a Microsoft Office database to download
every device’s traffic, analyse it and separate each
customer’s traffic total. The database then
calculated the
traffic totals against the customers charge rate in the database.
The invoices are then automatically generated and emailed to
the customers - time taken, 15 minutes per month.
